Part of my teaching approach at the Corcoran includes taking the class away from the classroom to more relaxed and inspiring environs. The City of Washington offers exceptional venues for examining architecture, quiet spaces and gardens, and you will see these spaces through the eye of an experienced artist. Experience the natural light at various times of the day provide invaluable lessons in understanding the relationship between color and light.
Workshops will bring together groups of individuals interested in enhancing or developing their skill level in perspective drawing, sketching and artistic interpretation. Instruction will include quick sketch method, shade & shadow and color wash.
Sessions available weekdays and Saturday mornings. In order to provide focused instruction, each 3-hour sessions will be limited to four students. The fee for a three-week series is $225.00, meeting once weekly. The fee for a one-day sketch session is $85.00. Payment is required day of class – call or e-mail to reserve your space.
